community outreACH
Uniting communities to confront gender-based violence by engaging men, women, and youth, fostering dialogue, empowering survivors, and creating safe spaces that promote accountability, dignity, and lasting change in Philippi and beyond.
Sizakuyenza’s GBV Community OUTREACH program empowers communities in Philippi and beyond to prevent and respond to gbv through awareness, education, and partnerships.
GBV Outreach and Community Mobilization program engages communities in Philippi and surrounding areas to prevent and respond to gender-based violence. Through awareness campaigns, door-to-door outreach, and community dialogues, we challenge harmful norms, promote safety, and encourage survivors to access available support services.
Community OUTREACH & GBV ADVOCACY
At Sizakuyenza, we recognize that gender-based violence (GBV) affects not only women and children but also families and entire communities. Ending GBV requires collective action, where men, women, and youth all play an active role in creating safe, respectful, and supportive environments.
Through this programme, we:
-
Engage men and boys as allies in challenging harmful norms and promoting positive masculinity.
-
Empower women and girls with knowledge, resources, and support systems to live free from violence.
-
Facilitate community dialogues and workshops that break the silence around GBV and encourage accountability.
-
Mobilize local leaders, families, and institutions to strengthen community-driven solutions and referral pathways for survivors.
